HISTORY
TAULER Machinery S.L. is the natural legacy of more than 40 years’ experience in Talleres TAULER S.L., a family company whose business is the manufacture and marketing of machinery for the graphic arts, basically dry and cold-adhesive laminators and lining machines.
Since it was founded in 1960 in Valladolid, Talleres TAULER has specialised in the manufacture of machinery for laminating documents, having built more than 3,000 machines. Since 1965, when it was granted its first invention patent, and including the first patent for thermal laminating in 1991, Talleres Tauler has maintained a sound policy to support technological innovation and industrial development for all its products.
After successfully taking part in the Graphispag 2003 fair, Talleres Tauler decided to invest in a new technological and production centre in Barcelona in order to provide its customers with a broader range of solutions for laminating and a technical support service covering the entire peninsula. The result of this effort was the creation on September 1st 2003 of Tauler Machinery SL.
Since then, Tauler has expanded its distribution chain to the major European markets, among other strategically important countries, and five years on it has grown exponentially, increasing its turnover by five times. Exports now account for 70% of annual sales. In recognition of this growth, in 2007 it received an award for best international expansion initiative, granted by Unión Empresarial del Penedés, UEP.
Tauler’s History
1960 In Valladolid, Talleres Tauler started producing the 1st cold laminator in Spain.
1971 In Barcelona J. Saumell started business, producing studies and quotes, manufacturing of the 1st cutter CORTAPLASTIC SAU that they would sell for many years to Talleres Tauler.
1973 J Saumell manufactured the 1st automatic sheet feeder to be attached to laminating machines, using its own technology.
1977 The company began to supply feeders to Talleres Ferran, and the feeders were sold in France, Pakistan, UK, among other countries.
1980 The 1st machine to work with polypropylene and solvent adhesive was built, as well as the first machine to work with both polypropylene and polyethylene.
1984 The Saumell family moved its business to Vilafranca del Penedés. starting the manufacturing of a long series of polyethylene machines, the origin of the current series TERMOPLAST
1997 An agreement was signed between Talleres Tauler and the Saumell family for manual and semi-automatic machines.
2002 The 1st MAIVA was manufactured
2003- February, joint participation of Talleres Tauler and the Saumell family in Graphispag 2003.
2003, September. Tauler Machinery S.L. was set up as a company that develops and markets the jointly developed equipment. Distribution began in Spain and Portugal.
2004 Formal presentation of Tauler Machinery at the largest international trade fair in the industry and opening of the French and UK markets
2005 Presentation at the Graphintro fair. TAULER doubled its turnover. Distribution extended to Germany, Australia and México.
2006 New markets opened in Poland and Estonia. Participation in the international IPEX fair in the UK.
2007 April, H.R.H. the Prince of Asturias presented Tauler with the award for the "Best international expansion initiative" of the Unión Empresarial del Penedés (UEP).
2007 Participation in the Graphispag fair (Barcelona). The company incorporated REUS CAPITAL DE NEGOCI as a risk capital partner. TAULER once again doubled its turnover. Expansion into the Dutch, Greek, Italian and Swiss international markets.
2008 May-June, second major participation in the DRUPA international trade fair

1960 1st Tauler cold adhesive laminator.
1980 1st mixed adhesive and polyethylene laminator from J. Saumell.
1988 1st COLPLAST was manufactured.
1993 1st THERMOLAM 110/70 was manufactured.
1998 The 1st BABYDRY was manufactured.
1998 The 1st 3rd-generation COLPLAST was manufactured.
2003 Presentation of the MAIVA Econ and MAIVA CT in Graphispag 03. Predecessors of the future PrintLam.
